You can see from my body of work below, I draw from a number of styles, crafted to the purpose or occasion.  At times, I combine different styles within the same piece, always with a firm grasp of stylistic elements—sometimes to produce a clever musical experience for both the ensemble and audience.  Harmonically, I am equally comfortable with classical, close jazz harmonies, blues and spiritual sonorities, as well as sacred harp-type modalities.

I also excel in creating music to meet the criteria at hand, e.g., setting text to music as it relates to and correlates with the liturgy of a worship service.  I specialize in arrangements to accommodate the strengths and weaknesses, size and makeup of a vocal or instrumental group.  I enjoy writing to meet specific needs such as weddings, anniversaries, retirement parties.
